Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Plymouth, MN seeks a Facilities Technician for our Electrophysiology (EP) medical device business. The role supports facilities from 1pm to 9:30pm, performing maintenance to keep critical equipment running in a regulated environment.

You will document actions in the CMMS and work on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. This position requires a boiler license or ability to obtain within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in industrial maintenance or automation.
• Hands-on experience with electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair facility equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on facility equipment.
• Document maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Repair buildings including walls, ceilings, doors, and painting.
• Repair electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing components.
• Manage cooling water treatment related to HVAC systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Maintain HVAC equipment in data centers (generators, UPS, chillers, Liebert units).
• Respond to after-hours call-ins on a 24/7 rotating shift.
