Job summary
Abbott seeks a Facilities Technician to support the Electrophysiology unit in Plymouth, MN, with a 1pm–9:30pm shift. You’ll perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on facility systems, document work in CMMS, and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment while ensuring safety and reliability.
Minimum 2+ years in industrial maintenance, knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and ability to work overtime as needed. Training and development opportunities are offered.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in industrial maintenance or automation.
- Hands-on experience with electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair facility equipment.
- Basic computer skills and CMMS experience.
- Follow procedures with accuracy and safety.
- Occasional overtime required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, scheduled, unscheduled maintenance, repairs and installations.
- Document activities using CMMS (Infor EAM).
- Repair building elements: walls, ceilings, doors, painting.
- Repair electrical systems including HVAC, plumbing work.
- Support cooling water systems and HVAC-related equipment.
- Read technical drawings and schematics.
