The ideal candidate has a technical college credential in Building/Plant Utilities and Maintenance or HVAC/R, plus several years of hands-on maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Technical college program in Building/Plant Utilities and Maintenance or HVAC/R Service.
• Three years of skilled mechanical and facilities maintenance experience or one year of the above experience.
• Able to work rotating shifts and some holidays or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain campus MEP systems with emphasis on HVAC/R, including boilers, pumps, chillers, and controls.
• Operate and maintain PEVCO pneumatic tube transportation system.
• Operate and maintain medical and industrial gas systems (medical air/vacuum/oxygen, etc.).
• Respond as first responder for urgent requests, life safety, fire, and alarms.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance repairs as assigned.
• Manage heavy equipment and supplies.
• Read HVAC/refrigeration schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Prepare investigative reports for indoor air quality issues.
• Maintain spare part and tool inventories.
