Job summary

The Scion Group seeks a dedicated Facilities Technician II to support maintenance, preventive care, and turnovers at our Lawrence property. You will handle BAS, CMMS, and Entrata systems while ensuring safety and customer service standards.

This role requires a hands-on technician with strong problem-solving skills, capable of working in a fast-paced, academic environment and collaborating with vendors and the Facilities Supervisor. Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3–5 years of full-time maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification (EPA 608 Core, Type I-III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.
• Strong communication and safety awareness; dependable under deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license; able to travel as needed.
• Experience with Entrata, CMMS, BAS and digital controls.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance and repair service requests promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Prepare apartments for turnovers and assist vendor coordination.
• Log work details and parts used; report daily completion.
• Monitor life safety and critical systems; address issues.
• Maintain security protocols and key management practices.
• Assist in scheduling with the Facilities Supervisor and vendors.
• Routinely inspect common areas and units for upkeep and safety.
• Carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical tasks as needed.
