Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a building engineer or maintenance technician in a commercial environment.
• understand, interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams and equipment specifications
• ability to read, understand and interpret safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions
• understand commercial HVAC or related area
• Valid CA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, project work, or emergency response across multiple sites.
• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs to buildings and systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, fixtures, doors, pool repairs).
• Complete and update maintenance and repair work orders; manage painting, lighting, furniture, flooring, and glass repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC issues and submit detailed work orders as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; uphold YMCA safety policies and core values.
• Report to supervisor and respond to priority work orders daily.
