Job summary

The Maintenance Technician I position at YMCA is responsible for daily upkeep of facilities, including routine PMs, safety checks, and basic repairs to HVAC, pools, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will handle work orders, inspections, and on-call responses under the District Engineer's supervision.

Strong communication and basic computer skills are required, along with the ability to carry out preventive maintenance and document activities.

Qualifications

• Current Special Engineer’s License or ability to obtain within 9 months
• Current Certified Pool Operator’s License (or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 9 months
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and skills

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on facilities and building systems.
• Maintain daily check logs for HVAC, boilers, pools, and building automation.
• Inspect systems and replace filters, belts, lubricants, and perform basic repairs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with contractors and document work orders.
• Respond to emergency and urgent maintenance requests across district sites.
• Maintain safe, organized workspaces and manage inventory of tools and supplies.
