Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a building engineer or maintenance technician in a commercial environment.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams and equipment specs.
• Understand safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions; knowledge of commercial HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Report to multiple sites within the association as assigned by supervisor daily.
• Perform maintenance, repair, project work, or emergency response.
• Install, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs to buildings and systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting.
• Troubleshoot HVAC issues and submit detailed work orders as needed.
• Complete facility inspections to ensure safety and asset longevity.
• Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision and risk management.
