Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield/C&W Services seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, calibration, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, lighting, and safety systems in a commercial office facility. The role requires safe, proactive maintenance, and ongoing data entry into the CMMS system.

The candidate will participate in safety training, coordinate with other vendors, and may work on-call during nights, weekends, and holidays to address emergencies. 2-5 years' related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good general working knowledge of all trades (construction, electrical, plumbing).
• Proven mechanical ability and aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
• Good computer skills; operating knowledge of Building Management System preferred.
• Proven ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Demonstrates attention to detail in maintenance tasks.
• Understands business implications and decisions related to maintenance work.
• Develops and implements cost saving measures in daily tasks.
• Conserves organizational resources during service delivery.
• 2-5 years related experience in commercial facility maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair facility systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire, life, safety, boilers, refrigeration units, and related controls.
• Attend and/or participate in safety training per C&W SERVICES policy.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance, calibration, and testing of facility systems and equipment.
• Utilize CMMS to document tasks, maintain equipment histories and input data for work orders.
• Complete and input all assigned work orders (corrective and PM) in a timely manner.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Follow national/local codes and OSHA requirements; adhere to company safety policies.
• Communicate repair status to supervisor/manager on a regular basis.
• Work with informal and formal teams and coordinate with customer representatives as needed.
• May coordinate activities of other vendors including specialists.
• Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor/Manager.
• Daily survey of buildings to identify repair and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Report conditions and operations to supervisor/Manager daily/weekly.
• Pursue training and development in advancing technology and safety.
• Available for ON CALL duty on nights, weekends and holidays to address emergencies.
• Possible flexible hours to accommodate client needs.
