Our client, a leading organization in facility management and building operations, is seeking a Facilities Technician 3 to join their team. As a Facilities Technician 3, you will be part of the Facilities Operations team supporting critical building systems, infrastructure, and facility occupants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong HVAC troubleshooting expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently maintain and repair a wide range of building systems.

Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Conversion Pay Range: $28-$32/hr
What's the Job?
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, HVACR, chiller, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex building system issues using Building Automation Systems (BAS), blueprints, schematics, pressure readings, and airflow measurements.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, including controls, electrical wiring, refrigerant systems, and mechanical components.
- Maintain low and medium voltage electrical systems, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
- Conduct daily start-up inspections and maintenance of critical equipment including boilers, compressors, water heaters, elevators, and fire pumps.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, automatic doors, gates, material handling equipment, fire safety systems, and emergency eyewash stations.
- Complete general facility maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, hardware repairs, vendor coordination, and equipment relocation as needed.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, HVACR, and chiller systems.
- Experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
