Qualifications

• HVAC and brazing license required.
• EPA or Universal License needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and solve HVAC rooftop unit problems.
• Follow up with customers for quality assurance.
• Act as senior technical support for other Service Techs.

Description

Position Summary: Work includes HVAC heating, cooling, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems. Applicants should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other people on the jobsite, including our subcontractors, and represent TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner. Applicants should also be able to accept direction and/or lead and delegate the work if necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Troubleshoot and solve HVAC rooftop units, make up air, boiler, chiller, and control system problems. VRF system knowledge is a plus.
• Follow up with customers for quality assurance purposes and ensure customers are 100% satisfied.
• Act as the senior technical support for other Service Techs, answer most technical questions, and help with almost any issue.
• Attend, if needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects and be well prepared to handle issues that may arise.
• Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience / Qualifications Required

• 10-12 years commercial experience in plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration.
• HVAC and brazing license.
• EPA or Universal License.
• Type 2 or Universal Refrigerant License.
• HVAC chiller and boiler certifications are a plus.

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must provide their own basic hand tools.
