ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute assignments safely, understanding all safety policies related to facilities work.
- Coordinate and conduct projects related to 8020 cart and station engineering changes and retrofits.
- Train Technician 1 associates on predictive and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Perform metal and wood fabrication, including welding and milling.
- Create daily inspection standards, and repair or replace failed facilities equipment.
- Navigate the Control System to find facilities equipment data efficiently.
- Conduct regulatory testing on fire pumps and sprinkler systems.
- Systematically perform power recovery for the building.
- Operate, maintain, test, and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems and components.
- Apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge to diagnose malfunctions and support equipment.
- Restore equipment to operational status, including electrical distribution, air compressors, chillers, vacuum pumps, and HVAC systems.
- Monitor control systems for faults or jams.
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and security standards.
- Troubleshoot simple AC circuitry, including fuse replacement.
- Identify and report issues promptly to leadership.
- Assist with basic metal and wood fabrication, using saws and drills.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of military or industrial experience in plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical controls.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS software.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills, including AC/DC circuits and component replacement.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze problems, make decisions, and work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.
- Experience with robotic drive preventive maintenance.
- Proficiency in operating articulating aerial lifts safely.
- Experience with conveyor system maintenance and repairs.
- Strong mechanical skills, including minor rebuilding and parts replacement.
- Experience in metal fabrication and welding is a plus.
