Job summary

Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center in Spokane is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician under the direction of the Facilities Manager. The role covers routine, skilled and preventative maintenance on hospital buildings, equipment and utilities.

Responsibilities include general building tasks such as carpentry, painting, changing light bulbs, minor electrical work, light plumbing or HVAC, with emphasis on safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience or 3 years related maintenance experience or an apprenticeship in a related trade.
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

• Perform routine, skilled and preventative maintenance on hospital buildings, equipment and utilities.
• Carry out general building maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, light plumbing or HVAC.
• Maintain a pleasant, respectful demeanor with patients, families, staff, and visitors as a positive representative of the hospital.

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine, skilled and preventative maintenance duties in the repair, alteration and modification of hospital buildings, equipment and utilities at St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute. The assignments may include general building maintenance, carpentry, painting, changing light bulbs, repair of minor electrical devices, light plumbing or HVAC according to the persons training and experience. All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times.

Required Qualifications:
