Job summary

Cal Poly Humboldt is seeking a Building Service Engineer in California. The ideal candidate will perform skilled trades work to maintain and modify various building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Qualifications

  • Two years of journey-level experience in HVAC operation and maintenance.
  • Preferred: Experience in a school or university environment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain necessary tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance and service requests.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports.

Skills

Knowledge of low-pressure boilers
Heating and ventilation systems knowledge
Ability to read blueprints
Emergency response ability
Ability to operate tools and equipment

Education

Two years of journey-level experience
EPA 608 Certification
