Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking an entry-level Facilities Systems Engineer to train across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, steam, and chilled water systems supporting patient care, research and campus operations. The program lasts about 12 to 18 months with classroom and field training designed to prepare you for the Facilities Systems Engineer II role with increasing responsibility.

The position starts at $75,686 annually with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Sciences or related field.
  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Sciences or related field plus 2 years of Facilities Systems experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with boiler/chiller/HVAC experience and power plant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the operation and maintenance of large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Support monitoring and performance of critical campus infrastructure.
  • Participate in hands-on training focused on chilled water and steam generation systems.
  • Investigate and help solve technical and operational challenges.
  • Create practical procedures, technical guides, and work instructions for safe operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Sciences or related field
Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Engineering Sciences or related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in Facilities Systems
