Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Facilities Systems Electrician for 1st shift onsite at our East Hartford, CT facility. You will perform electrical maintenance across buildings, equipment and utilities, reading diagrams, and troubleshooting critical processes to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of experience, with a CT E-2 journeyman certification or equivalent knowledge, plus NEC familiarity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Journeyman certification CT E-2 or working knowledge of industrial/commercial electrical work required.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance to support facility operations.
• Install, service, and maintain buildings, grounds, and related systems.
• Read and follow diagrams and drawings for repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair process-critical equipment.
• Work under conditions such as noise, heights, and adverse weather when needed.
• Handle chemicals and hazardous waste per safety guidelines.
• Support ACE initiatives and participate in team leadership as directed.
