Job summary

Associated Students, Inc. in San Luis Obispo, CA seeks a Facility Supervisor to ensure safe, smooth operation of ASI facilities and programs.

You will lead student staff, act as first responder in emergencies, and oversee on-site operations under the Assistant Director of Facility Operations. Must be enrolled as Cal Poly student with required units, possess supervisory and security experience, and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student at Cal Poly with a minimum of 6 units.
• Graduate students must carry 4 units.
• Previous supervisory experience and facility security experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR and AED Certification.
• Must hold a CA Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operations for the facility and uphold policy procedures.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to staff and participants.
• Open, close, and secure facilities and inspect for safety.
• Supervise student staff, cover shifts, and manage scheduling.
• Document injuries/incidents and compile daily reports.
• Coordinate with Facilities and custodial for upkeep and safety.
• Monitor event use, crowd control, and potential safety issues.
• Set up and take down equipment; manage inventory in storage rooms.
• Represent ASI professionally and foster an inclusive environment.
