Job summary

Midwest Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain the Community's building, equipment, and grounds. You will follow policies, report issues, and ensure safety for residents and staff. The role requires basic computer skills and ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical and plumbing systems, fire safety equipment, and assisting with moving residents when required. Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance at work
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours, weekends and holidays when necessary
• Must assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies
• Must perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Employee may need to assist in lifting/carrying objects up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain building, equipment and grounds of the Community
• Follow Community policies and procedures
• Report safety issues and resident abuse/neglect as required
• Maintain electrical, plumbing and fire safety equipment
• Keep work areas clean and orderly; handle small maintenance tasks
• Assist staff with moving residents and furniture when needed
