Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Certifications: CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Ability to report and record maintenance requests.
• Three or more years of related experience and one year of supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Basic understanding of upkeep and care of equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
• Strong mechanical ability.
• Completion of required trainings.

Responsabilités

• Follows opening and closing procedures and maintains a visible presence in the facility on shift, as department supervisor in the absence of direct supervisor.
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance to include electrical, plumbing and mechanical system repairs, maintain lighting systems, building repairs and carpentry.
• Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment.
• Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed.
• Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies.
• Sets up furniture/equipment according to daily schedule for events.
• Supports on-boarding process and leadership of Housekeeping and Maintenance staff.
• Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings as required.
• Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure the success of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County.
