Facilities Senior Program Coordinator – Plan Big. Lead Smart. Deliver Impact.

We’re seeking a dynamicFacilities Senior Program Coordinatorto manage and implement programs, projects, and special events that positively impact County departments and the community. This role combines administrative expertise with technical coordination, requiring sound judgment, organization, and professionalism in daily operations and public engagement.

You’ll develop, coordinate, and evaluate short- and long-term initiatives, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, manage budgets and records, and prepare reports and correspondence. The position also includes researching best practices, recommending program improvements, and supporting outreach efforts through presentations and promotional materials.

As a key representative of your program area, you’ll collaborate with internal teams, vendors, community partners, and the public—providing exceptional customer service and problem resolution. Depending on assignment, you may also supervise staff, oversee facility operations, coordinate contractors, and support special events.

In this role, your purpose is to ensure programs and operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in full alignment with County policies, codes, and regulations. Each day, you’ll apply your knowledge of local government operations, departmental procedures, and administrative best practices to analyze processes, interpret guidelines, and support effective decision‑making. You’ll leverage strong analytical, research, and communication skills—both written and verbal—to prepare reports, proposals, training materials, and presentations for a variety of audiences. Using Microsoft Office and other software tools, you’ll maintain accurate records, manage data, and organize priorities to meet deadlines and objectives. You’ll collaborate with managers, service providers, team members, and the public, providing clear guidance and exceptional customer service while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism. Whether coordinating projects, supporting teams, or solving new challenges with tact and resourcefulness, your work will help drive efficient operations and meaningful results.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s Degree
    • Preferred:
      • In area of assignment
  • Five (5) years of experience in area of assignment, to include lead or supervisory experience.
Licenses and/or Certificates:
  • Depending on position assignment:
    • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Depending on position assignment… if assigned to work within the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office/Justice Center/Jail additional background checks will be required:
    • Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS).
    • FALCON Integrated Criminal History System.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stooping, walking, sitting, pulling, grasping, hearing, seeing up close, seeing far away, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions, depth perception. Dependent upon position assignment, may frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed indoors and outdoors and requires some exposure to environmental changes (e.g., outdoor weather and/or field conditions, warehouses, covered loading docks, garages, etc.) or irate customers, extreme noise, odors, heights and/or dust.

RISK/SAFETY CONDITIONS

The position requires some exposure or risk related to physical and/or mental health and safety (e.g., exposure to environmentally hazardous material, assault and battery, heavy equipment, communicable disease, etc.).
