Job summary

Heaviside Industries is hiring for a Facilities & Workplace Operations leader in Los Angeles. You will own daily office operations, engineering and manufacturing workspace coordination, and related facilities services.

The role requires hands-on ownership, budget awareness, and collaboration with HR, IT, and outside vendors. You will implement security, safety, and ITAR-related controls, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining a high standard of workplace

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities management or workplace operations.
• Experience overseeing vendors, budgets, and facility projects.
• Strong organizational and project-management abilities.
• Discretion with confidential information and executives.
• Clear written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Hands-on, on-site ownership with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the Los Angeles office and related facilities.
• Maintain organized, functional, clean workspaces and stock levels.
• Manage supplies, furniture, equipment, and recurring needs.
• Coordinate maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, and security services.
• Serve as primary contact for landlords, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Review invoices and coordinate vendor payments with Finance.
• Track spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate moves, expansions, and facility projects.
• Ensure onboarding resources for new employees on day one.
• Partner with HR and IT on onboarding and offboarding logistics.
• Support security, IT, legal, and compliance with export controls and related requirements.
