Job summary

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Crosby Township, MN, is seeking a Facilities Safety Specialist to oversee safety across the hospital, coordinate construction and maintenance projects, and ensure regulatory compliance with healthcare standards.

You will work with Plant Operations and departments to manage safety programs, track upgrades in our CMMS, and lead proactive safety initiatives to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities administration, construction project management, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in healthcare facilities management and familiarity with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards
• Adept in using Microsoft Office programs

A Day in the Life of a Facilities Safety Specialist

The Facilities Safety Specialist supports facility operations, project oversight, and safety compliance across the organization. This role involves hands‑on coordination of construction, maintenance, vendor contracts, and space utilization in collaboration with Plant Operations and internal departments. Daily work includes managing safety programs, conducting regulatory assessments, and tracking maintenance through specialized software. Challenges often include juggling competing priorities, responding to urgent compliance issues, and maintaining smooth communication across teams. The role combines structured administrative tasks with on‑ground problem‑solving and proactive safety leadership.

In the Plant Operations Department at CRMC, we ensure that every system, structure, and service within the hospital functions safely and efficiently. The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employee's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
