Job summary

ComServ Inc. is seeking a Facilities & Safety Coordinator to oversee safety programs, facility and vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance across multiple sites in North Carolina.

The role requires collaboration with the COO and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely inspections. The ideal candidate will lead the Safety Committee, manage annual inspections, and coordinate vendor contracts while maintaining strong documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with at least five years' related experience.
• Two-year, four-year, or technical degree is preferred; facility management or safety program experience preferred.
• Adaptability and on-call availability; occasional evenings/weekends; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vendor and consultant contracts as requested.
• Lead safety efforts as Safety Committee Chairperson.
• Ensure compliance with CARF Health & Safety standards.
• Develop relationships with local/state emergency management personnel.
• Coordinate annual inspections for alarm systems, fire and security.
• Check monthly smoke detectors, exit lights, thermostats, and changes air filters.
• Maintain vehicle inventory; manage registrations and tag renewals.
• Oversee facility and vehicle maintenance; arrange repairs.
• Participate in on-call services for urgent facility and vehicle requests.
• May assist with moving furniture and heavy duties.
• Manage group home licensure renewal process; timely filings.
