Job summary

The Society is seeking an Operations Manager - Buildings and Property to oversee general and preventive maintenance, safety, and compliance for all sites, equipment, vehicles and life-safety codes. You will ensure regulatory adherence (DODD, ODH, EPA) and manage a maintenance team across the Main Office.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will develop annual project plans, supervise staff, coordinate with vendors, and lead building projects while promoting strong internal and external

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of general maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform general maintenance tasks including outlet wiring (no service box work), repairs, modifications and tool operation.
• Knowledge of regulations related to safety and building maintenance (local, state and federal).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with good driving record and required liability insurance.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication, mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Personal vehicle and tools required.
• Maintains required certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Create and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee inspections and fix deficiencies; ensure safety.
• Manage maintenance staff safety, training and evaluation.
• Help develop annual project plan and budget with directors.
• Coordinate volunteer projects for buildings and properties.
• Manage vendor contracts and monitor service quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations.
• Collaborate on special building projects with the team.
• Represent The Society professionally and foster relationships.
• Adhere to Society policies; act as a role model.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
