Job summary

YWCA Columbus is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the Family Center''s maintenance, safety, and grounds, with responsibility for daily operations, budgeting, and vendor relations.

This full-time role requires supervising maintenance staff, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating repairs to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. On-site, Monday–Friday schedule with emergencies; Columbus, OH location.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as CFM, FMP, OSHA, EPA 608, or CPO strongly preferred.
• Experience: 7–10 years in commercial facilities maintenance and operations; 5 years supervisory experience with budgeting and vendor management.
• CMMS and facility management systems experience; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance at the Family Center, including preventative maintenance, cleaning and repairs, and manage related administrative tasks.
• Supervise maintenance staff, provide guidance and training in mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards and manage facility service contracts.
• Assist in budgeting, reporting, vendor management, and training to align with YWCA mission.
• Schedule safety drills and emergency procedures; cover emergency calls when needed.
