Job summary

YWCA Northeast Indiana is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to keep our offices and programs safe, functional, and well‑maintained. You will coordinate with vendors, perform routine repairs, and manage records and safety plans.

The role requires 2-4 years of hands-on building maintenance, strong communication skills, and flexibility for after-hours calls. This on-site position emphasizes reliable, high‑quality work in a non-profit environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on building maintenance or facilities management experience.
• Experience overseeing outside contractors and evaluating service agreements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends on-call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current schedule for use of meeting rooms and staff offices; manage inventory of facilities materials and equipment.
• Source, schedule and supervise external service contractors; review contracts and ensure quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, etc.).
• Oversee security of facilities and key control; coordinate with local agencies as needed.
• Monitor daily facility work orders, respond promptly, and maintain records.
