Job summary

YWCA Northeast Indiana, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to keep our buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained. This full-time role involves hands-on repairs, coordinating external vendors, and maintaining records across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities include scheduling general use spaces, managing inventories, supervising contractors, and ensuring security and safety systems are operational. Evening/weekend on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on building maintenance, facilities management, or trade services.
• Proven ability to use standard hand and power tools and perform minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update schedules for facilities use and staff offices.
• Source, schedule, and supervise external service contractors; review contracts and inspect work.
• Oversee security systems, alarms, and key control; coordinate with local agencies as needed.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance across the facility and mechanical systems.
• Assist with safety documents, inventory, and records; drive van for donation pickups as needed.
