Job summary

Houston City College is seeking a facilities operations and maintenance leader to coordinate campus services across multiple locations. You will supervise trades, manage vendors, and ensure projects meet regulatory and quality standards while maintaining budgets and schedules.

Ideal candidates have strong project management skills, experience with QA/QC, and a track record of improving maintenance processes. The role requires a driver license and flexibility for after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience coordinating facilities operations and projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and facility management tools.
• Valid Texas Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Personally assess situations, obtain information, and recommend actions.
• Review job orders, maintain logs, and supervise trades personnel or vendors.
• Coordinate services ensuring compliance with EPA, OSHA, NFPA and state/local policies.
• Provide operational efficiencies through resource management and proactive maintenance.
• Lead quality initiatives and report on performance and improvements.
• Develop and implement QA/QC standards and measure reliability.
• Plan and control maintenance of campus facilities through staff or vendors.
• Monitor inventory of equipment and supplies, and place orders as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
