Job summary

The City of Parkland, FL is seeking an experienced Public Works Supervisor to oversee the facilities division and lead a team of maintenance staff. Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in Public Works or facility maintenance, including 3+ years in supervision.
• FEMA 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Preferred certifications and licenses: Stormwater Manager, OSHA 30 HR, Equipment/Operator certifications, various Florida licenses.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, trains, assigns, and supervises daily activities of Public Works maintenance staff.
• Directs maintenance, repairs, and construction within the division.
• Determines work priorities and assigns tasks daily.
• Plans and implements maintenance schedule for equipment and building amenities.
• Assists in developing maintenance specs for contractor services.
• Reviews contractor work and resolves problems with contractors.
