Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with several years in field applicable to the division and lead worker experience.
• Must hold a State of Florida Class B Driver’s License and a Level 3 Distribution System Operator License.
• Additional certifications may be required for the division (e.g., Water/Wastewater related).

Responsibilities

• Assigns, instructs, and coordinates activities of division crews in operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Oversees use of labor, equipment, parts, and supplies on projects.
• Receives inquiries from the public and coordinates timely resolutions; responds to emergencies.
• Ensures safety standards are followed and hazard awareness is promoted.
• Coordinates operation of all equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Trains subordinates in safe operational practices and techniques.
• Maintains records of labor, equipment, parts, and service data; assists monthly reporting.
• Performs skilled work and operates required equipment as needed.
• Monitors progress and provides guidance on complex tasks; inspects completed work for compliance.
