Job summary

Fort Pierce Utilities Authority seeks a skilled Facilities Technician to perform maintenance and repair of physical facilities, under the Facilities Manager. You will use power tools, CMMS and BAS/BMS, and coordinate with contractors on HVAC, plumbing, and generator projects.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in facilities construction, renovation, maintenance and repair.
Basic knowledge and advanced proficiency in MS Office and related software.
Valid Florida Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools and power equipment safely for maintenance and repair tasks.
Assist Facilities Manager and contractors with project planning, specs, and drawings.
Utilize CMMS and BAS/BMS systems to track work and report conditions.
Ensure all work complies with safety programs and regulations.
Supervise contractors on HVAC, plumbing, generator, and elevator projects.
Schedule and maintain records for fire suppression, alarms, cranes and elevators compliance.
Prepare bid specifications, equipment databases and reports as needed.
Communicate with staff, vendors, regulators, and the public as required.
