Job summary

Fort Pierce Utilities Authority in Florida seeks a maintenance specialist to operate, maintain and repair electrical and electronic circuits, SCADA systems, pumps, and related equipment in wastewater or water treatment facilities. You will supervise a small team of unskilled or semi-skilled staff during preventative maintenance and coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of electronic controls and circuits and related equipment.
• Understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic systems and HMI software.
• Experience with SCADA, telemetry, PLCs and related electronic apparatus.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex circuits quickly and safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, maps and schematics.
• Commitment to safety and proper use of tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair electrical/electronic circuits and equipment in wastewater and/or water plants and lift stations.
• Supervise a small group of unskilled/semi-skilled staff during preventative maintenance.
• Plan, schedule and supervise electrical projects and calibrations.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and blueprints; manage inventory for parts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety programs.
