Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks a Facility Project Manager (HVAC) to oversee complex district facility projects and maintain safe, efficient operations across school facilities.

The role requires coordination with internal staff and external contractors, managing scopes from inception to closeout, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Immediate start; reports to the Executive Director of Building Services; based on CMS premises in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Three (3) years related work experience managing facility projects in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Manage multiple projects which can exceed a million dollars in value. Projects are generally considered an improvement to, an upgrade, replacement, or new installation of a building system, component and/or control.
• Ensure all work is compliant with district procedures and the applicable state, local, and federal regulations.
