Job summary

Flyttr is seeking a Project Manager (Facilities & Build) to lead delivery of infrastructure for the New World Screwworm biosecurity program, coordinating with a building services firm from planning through handover.

You will manage client-side delivery, review progress against requirements, and report risks and decisions to the Program Director. This fixed-term role offers a path to a permanent position upon operation of the facility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering projects from planning and design through construction and operational handover.
• Experience managing construction contractors, consultants, project budgets, schedules, and procurement activities.
• Working knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with a sense of urgency and accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage client-side delivery of the new facility, coordinating with the appointed services firm from initiation through completion and handover.
• Coordinate consultants, architects, engineers, permitting authorities and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, budget, procurement plan and risk register, reporting progress and decisions to the Program Director.
• Ensure facility meets regulatory, health and safety requirements.
