Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Pensacola, FL seeks a Facilities Maintenance/Construction leader to supervise a workforce responsible for day-to-day maintenance repairs across all NEXCOM Headquarters locations and provide technical support for renovations.

The role manages a maintenance repair and improvement program, forecasts requirements, evaluates program effectiveness, budget controls, and ensures compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 3 years general experience in facility renovation, construction, maintenance concepts, and scheduling.
• 1 year of directly related education above high school or 9 months of business/technical training may substitute for 9 months of experience.
• 3 years progressively responsible experience coordinating construction renovation projects, cost estimating, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of facility renovation and construction associates; plans repairs, alterations, and improvements.
• Directs project staff to ensure work force understands requirements and complies with codes.
• Manages staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinates with planning, design, tech, and operations for project development and execution.
• Develops cost estimates and procurement plans for renovations.
• Provides construction inspection services and liaises with base operations for coordination.
