Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command seeks a FACILITIES PROJECT SUPERVISOR to manage day-to-day maintenance and oversee renovations for NEXCOM HQ locations.

The role directs a team of facility renovation and construction staff, plans repairs and improvements, and ensures compliance with DoD instructions and building codes while controlling budgets and resources.

Travel up to 25% may be required; strong leadership, project planning, and cost estimation skills are essential for successful execution.

Qualifications

• 3 years general experience in facility renovation/maintenance concepts, budgeting, scheduling, and operations.
• Experience coordinating construction/renovation projects, cost estimating, and records keeping.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of full-time facility renovation and construction associates. Plans and directs repairs, alterations, and improvements for physical facilities and renovations, and oversees new construction.
• Reviews work performance and monitors labor costs associated with each task; directs project staff to ensure job requirements are understood and safety/compliance upheld.
• Investigates facility conditions and coordinates with planning, design tech, and operations for project development and execution.
• Evaluates department expenses and budgets to meet business objectives; maintains records of work performance and charges.
• Supports development of project packages and reviews plan submittals for accuracy; performs constructability reviews.
• Assists with space planning, layouts, and utility requirements (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) for proposed initiatives.
• Assists with cost estimates for procurement and works with managers to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Provides construction/building inspection services and liaises with Base operations and NAVFAC to ensure compliance.
• Supports statements of work for contracts and coordinates in-house and contractor work.
