Job summary

ESFM, the corporate facilities management division of Compass Group USA, seeks a Facilities Project Manager in Mahwah, NJ. You will lead capital and operational projects covering site infrastructure, utilities, equipment moves, and building systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will coordinate with design professionals, contractors, and operations to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget while minimizing downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, or a related discipline required.
• 5+ years of related experience delivering facilities, infrastructure, utility, construction, or equipment-installation projects required.
• Demonstrated project management experience with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, risk, contractors, and stakeholder communication required.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utility, dust extraction, and building infrastructure systems preferred.
• Experience planning construction activities, shutdowns, equipment moves, commissioning, and turnover in an active manufacturing or regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, proposals, schedules, estimates, and contractor submittals required.
• Proficiency with project scheduling, budgeting, and reporting tools; MS Project or MS Project Online experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills required.
• Formal project management training and PMP certification preferred.
• Manufacturing plant experienced preferred; similar regulated environment will be ok

Responsibilities

• Lead and support capital and operational projects impacting site infrastructure, utilities, equipment moves and installations, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, with minimal disruption to operations, coordinating stakeholders, contractors and authorities.
• Execute projects in active manufacturing or regulated environments with a proven track record.
