Job summary

Freedom Village Holland is seeking a dedicated Facilities Project Coordinator in Holland, MI. The role involves coordinating with vendors to prioritize and complete unit renovations, requiring strong organization, communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

You will assist maintenance personnel, maintain supply levels, and may perform campus snow removal. Overtime may be required; and duties to ensure efficient community operations are expected.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED.
  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
  • Project management: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with established vendors to prioritize and schedule unit renovations through project completion.
  • Maintain high organization, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team with vendors to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Assist other Maintenance personnel with various projects or campus snow removal.
  • Maintain proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Work a reasonable amount of scheduled and on-call overtime as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties to ensure effective operations within the community.

Facilities Project Coordinator:

Full-time. Responsibilities include collaborating with established vendors to prioritize, schedule unit renovations through project completion. Must be highly organized, have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as a member of a team and work with vendors to ensure quality and timeliness. Maintenance or related industry experience preferred.

Will assist other Maintenance personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs including campus snow removal.

Assists in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks.

Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and "on-call" overtime as necessary.

Performs additional duties requested by the Supervisor and the Director of General
Services in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation within the community.

Attendance is essential to this job. Must also maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances. Must have knowledge of HVAC.
Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff. Must function under general supervision. Must be flexible and have integrity. Must possess the ability of effectively work with residents and staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to lift 50 pounds, over 50 pounds must use the aid of a hand truck or get assistance, and move light furniture. Standing on one's feet for a long period of time, bending and extensive walking. Ability to push and pull, climb and descend ladder to 6/8 feet or higher.
