Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking a staff assistant to support recreation operations and supervise staff under the Recreation Supervisor. This role involves assisting with payroll, budgeting, scheduling, training, and program administration.

You will help inspect facilities, manage inventory, coordinate programs and events, and respond to emergencies while maintaining excellent communication with the public and team. Weekend and evening availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet the public and serve customers.
• Assist with the supervision of the Division’s cost center.
• Analyze and work with records, reports and budgets.
• Assist in all aspects of personnel management including hiring, evaluation, training and scheduling.
• Assist in inventory control and facility inspection.
• Assist with the coordination and administration of programs, events and registrations.
• Work with the application of chemicals and other toxic agents, when applicable.
• Assist in emergency response.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
