Job summary

City of Maypearl seeks an events coordinator to support Venue 1842 in planning and coordinating rentals and City special events and festivals. You will coordinate facility rentals, vendors, contractors, and musicians, while delivering excellent customer service and premier programs.

This role requires creativity, organization, teamwork, and initiative, and involves setup and teardown duties, late nights, weekends, and safety-sensitive considerations.

Qualifications

• Education required: high school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience in events.
• Experience in fast-paced environments is preferred.
• Experience with event software (ActiveNet) is preferred.
• Background check, drug test and motor vehicle review are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility rentals, vendors, contractors and musicians.
• Assist with planning and coordinating rentals and events for City programs.
• Provide excellent customer service and support premier events.
• Assist in setup and teardown of rentals and events, including tents and decor.
