Qualifications

  • Prepare technical summaries, monitoring reports, and briefing materials aligned with statutes, regulations, and program policies; submit for review within deadlines.
  • Analyze monitoring outputs to identify trends, recurring compliance issues, and operational risks; propose data-informed recommendations.
  • Maintain complete records of notes, tools, trackers, communications, and artifacts in designated repositories (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Provide technical guidance and compliance support related to care provider facilities, safety, and physical plant operations.

Job Description

The Facilities Program Specialist (FPS) provides essential monitoring and program analysis support to federal staff responsible for ensuring provider facilities operate in compliance with applicable safety, emergency preparedness, physical security, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The FPS assists with the coordination, documentation, and review of facility inspections and assessments, supports the evaluation of inspection records and technical materials for alignment with building and safety standards, and documents corrective actions identified during oversight activities. Following the completion of monitoring activities, the FPS prepares clear technical summaries, monitoring reports, and supports trend analyses that highlight risks, recurring compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Position Duties
  • Coordinate, schedule, and document facility inspections and assessments; maintain organized records of inspection artifacts and communications.
  • Review inspection documentation, reports, and supporting materials for consistency with applicable building codes, life safety codes, licensing standards, and other relevant industry requirements; documenting and summarizing key findings.

Qualifications
  • Requires BS/BA degree in Facilities Management, Public Administration, or a related field plus 4 years of related work experience.
  • Proven experience evaluating condition of physical facilities and building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) against applicable federal, state, and local requirements, as well as legal codes.
  • Previous facilities management or building inspection experience and familiarity with permits, inspection reports, compliance assessments, and service and maintenance records.
  • Prior life safety standards or emergency preparedness experience a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. High attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct frequent travel, completing trips to designated sites up to 25% of the time.
Additional Requirements

This position requires an existing MBI T2 Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Position is 100% remote, however regular domestic travel is required up to 25% of the time.

The likely salary range for this position is $61,402 - $71,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
