General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Task Manager to lead a team delivering monitoring, program analysis, and compliance reporting for care provider facilities in a remote capacity.

You will drive safety, emergency preparedness, physical security, and regulatory adherence across multiple sites. The role requires overseeing inspections, developing monitoring plans, and managing performance metrics.

  • Conducts rapid needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and resource constraints in program execution.
  • Delivers regular reporting to federal staff on monitoring status with actionable recommendations.
  • Ensures development of training materials and facilitates training for new staff, updating curriculum from gap analysis results.
  • Reviews monitoring reports, corrective actions, and other deliverables before submission.
  • Assists federal staff in tracking corrective actions from inspections or on-site reviews; ensures timely updates and closure evidence.
  • Analyzes monitoring outputs to identify trends and risks, proposing data-informed improvements to federal staff.

The Task Manager provides leadership, coordination, and technical oversight to a team responsible for delivering monitoring and program analysis activities across care provider facilities. This role ensures that provider facilities operate in compliance with applicable safety, emergency preparedness, physical security, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The Task Manager is accountable for overall team performance, quality assurance, and the timely delivery of contract‑compliant reports and technical products.

Position Duties
  • Leads and manages a team performing monitoring reviews, inspections, and program analysis, delivering ongoing technical guidance and oversight across the daily operation.
  • Provides task management and technical oversight, assisting with the coordination, documentation, and review of facility inspections and assessments; providing expert guidance with the analysis and evaluation of processes and requirements.
  • Provides direct supervision to staff, overseeing site assessment activities, and ensuring all pre and post monitoring activities are successfully completed.
  • Oversee the development of program logic and evaluate performance measures regarding facility inspections and assessments.
  • Develops the program monitoring schedule and facilitate updates to the plan as needed, ensuring all programs are monitored according to government requirements and within established timeframes.
  • Conducts rapid, targeted needs assessments to identify any knowledge gaps and resource constraints in program execution.
  • Delivers regular reporting and insight to federal staff on the status of monitoring activities including recommendations for resolving any identified gaps.
  • Ensures the adequate development of training content and materials, assisting with facilitation of training for new staff, updating curriculum as needed based on results of ongoing gap analysis.
  • Reviews monitoring reports, corrective actions, and other deliverables prepared by team members prior to submission.
  • Assists federal staff in tracking, monitoring, and documenting corrective actions arising from inspections or on-site reviews; ensuring timely updates and closure evidence are captured.
  • Analyzes monitoring outputs to identify trends, recurring compliance issues, and operational risks across facilities; proposing data informed recommendations for improvement to federal staff as appropriate.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for execution and delivery within the team while ensuring collaborative measures across other Bureau Divisions.
Performance management and onboarding
  • Regularly monitors and supports team members’ general professional development as well as the specific expertise and skills required to maintain compliance with requirements, apt delivery of products and services, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Suggests and oversees the implementation of processes and procedures for assigned team. Identifies areas of improvement and manages solutions.
  • Provides oversight of the quality of work and deliverables.
  • Monitors staff performance, providing additional training and feedback as needed.
  • Completes Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary.
  • Completes annual performance evaluations and monitors staff progress toward annual goals.
  • Reviews monthly reports; approves and submits consolidated reports as needed.
  • Reviews and approves timecards, leave requests, proposed travel, and expense reports as applicable.
Qualifications
  • Requires BS/BA degree in a relevant field plus 7 years of related work experience and at least 2 years of prior supervisory experience.
  • Progressive project and task management experience on projects, demonstrating advanced levels of managerial responsibilities.
  • Proven monitoring and evaluation experience. Experience monitoring providers that provide services to underserved populations preferred.
  • Demonstrated quality assurance and experience delivering oversight to large, cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
  • This position requires an existing MBI T2 Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.
  • Position is 100% remote, however periodic domestic travel may be required.
Salary

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
