Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Junior Buyer to support Facilities Operations & Maintenance for a government customer located in NORCO, California.

The role involves researching, quoting, and purchasing parts, coordinating vendor quotes and service support, processing purchase requests, and tracking orders to ensure timely maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and industrial systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year purchasing experience.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
• Strong communication with staff and government stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manually track purchase requests across many concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Research, quote, and purchase parts, materials, equipment and outside service support in support facilities maintenance team completion of corrective and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate vendor quotes and service access for equipment, assets, vehicles, industrial machinery and building systems.
• Interface with staff to ensure purchase requisitions are filled and submitted promptly.
• Work with PM and FS/PC and government stakeholders to create bid packages for special projects.
• Submit Purchase Authorization requests and track through final disposition.
• Ensure parts and services are received, inventoried, and distributed to technicians.
• Negotiate best pricing from vendors.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies.
