Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Buyer to support Facilities Operations & Maintenance for a government customer in NORCO, California. The role centers on purchasing parts, materials, and services to support corrective and preventative maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial systems.

The Buyer will coordinate with the PM, FM/PC, and government stakeholders to create bid packages, process Purchase Authorizations, and ensure timely delivery and accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and three (3) years of experience performing purchasing and procurement duties.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Strong communication skills internally with staff and externally with government stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.
• Ability to manually track purchase requests through receipt of parts, materials, and services across many concurrent projects, efforts, and taskings.

Responsibilities

• Research, quote, and purchase parts, materials, equipment and outside service support for maintenance work orders.
• Support projects and efforts with research, quotes, vendor coordination and facility access to acquire service support for equipment, assets, vehicles, industrial machinery and building systems.
• Interfaces with staff to ensure purchase requisitions are filled out and submitted timely.
• Collaborates with PM/FS-PC and government stakeholders to create bid packages for special projects.
• Submits Purchase Authorization requests and tracks through final disposition.
• Ensures parts, materials, and services are received, inventoried, and distributed to technicians for install/repair.
• Negotiates and acquires best pricing from vendors.
• Coordinates with corporate purchasing for PO issuance and adherence to policies.
• Maintains records of vendors, accounts, and approvals.
• Tracks purchases and reports data weekly.
• Reconciles monthly customer invoices against purchases.
