Job summary

GCHP is seeking a Porter to maintain grounds, interior and exterior common areas, vacant apartments, sidewalks and alleyways to keep the property clean and safe. The Porter also assists in light maintenance when needed.

Education: High School diploma or GED. 1–2 years of housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Must be well-organized, with dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Follow directives from the manager and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a pleasant demeanor on the job.
• Assist with tracking and communicating inventory levels for products and equipment.
• Perform light maintenance such as changing light bulbs and air conditioner filters.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are kept safe, clean, and organized.
• Respond promptly to spills or accidents and place caution signs when needed.
• Monitor and clean all exterior and interior common areas.
• Note and report repairs/safety hazards to the site manager.
