Job summary

Travis County’s Facilities Management Department is seeking a Project Manager to oversee design, construction, and inspection of new and renovated facilities. You will coordinate with private design teams and act as the County PM through construction, ensuring compliance and quality.

The role focuses on two major projects from programming through construction, requiring a licensed RA or PE and strong project leadership across multi-disciplinary teams. A flexible schedule may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering and 3+ years of licensed professional experience.
• Licensure as a Registered Architect (R.A.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or reciprocity within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility design and construction services for County departments and develop project master plans.
• Prepare bid documents and coordinate contracts; review bids and recommend awards.
• Ensure consultants and vendors meet contract requirements and monitor construction progress.
• Establish project priorities and schedules for timely completion of construction projects.
• Represent the County in meetings and maintain up-to-date professional credentials.
