Travis County’s Facilities Management Department seeks a licensed architect or engineer to lead facility improvement projects across county facilities, overseeing design, construction, and master planning with a project portfolio around $40 million per fiscal year. This role requires a BS in Architecture or Engineering, 3+ years of related experience, and a Texas RA/PE license or reciprocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering required.
• License as RA or PE in Texas with 3+ years in design/construction, including 1 year of lead/project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees facility design and construction services for County departments and provides recommendations on facility projects.
• Oversees development of project master plans and implements plans through reviews, cost estimates and construction; writes specifications and procures professional services.
