Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a skilled Plumber to join the Operations and Maintenance team within Facilities Management. The role supports 24/7 operations across county buildings and collaborates with electricians, locksmiths, and HVAC technicians to ensure reliable facility function.

Requirements include three years of journey-level plumbing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and an apprenticeship or vocational training in plumbing (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Three years of journey-level commercial plumbing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational education in the plumbing field may substitute for two years of the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Remove, replace, and repair toilets, faucets, valves, and fixtures in County facilities.
• Repair sewer lines and grease traps.
• Operate sewer machines, cameras, and locators as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Use PC and handheld devices for time management and work orders.
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours.
