Job summary

Maricopa County is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to sustain and repair County facilities, ensuring spaces, structures, and infrastructure stay in good operating condition through routine, scheduled, or anticipatory maintenance. The role offers shift options and a chance to grow within the Facilities Management Department.

Qualified candidates typically have two years of relevant repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Arizona driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience involving a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including semi-skilled trades tasks.
• Experience with facility maintenance and building systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and correct all repairs associated with a specific work order, including routine and/or emergency repairs.
• Respond to assigned service calls in person in all Maricopa County buildings, working within the system to finalize work orders.
• Replace air filters, drive belts, ballasts, light bulbs, light switches, wall outlets, and low-voltage motors, managing work priorities on site.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment necessary to perform various building maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform other trades activities, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and mechanical maintenance.
• Operate computers and mobile devices for time management, inventory, work assignments, and other related functions.
• Other job duties as assigned
