Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Facilities Planner for our Groton, CT client site. The role supports planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and facilities activities in a team-oriented environment.

Key duties include coordinating with vendors and internal teams, maintaining CMMS records, and ensuring timely completion of work while upholding safety and company standards. The position requires flexibility for varied hours and a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in facility management, maintenance planning, or related technical role.
• Maintenance trades and systems knowledge (electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
• Demonstrated experience in a high visibility customer service role with multiple customer streams.
• Ability to obtain site-specific security access including background checks.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, varied shifts, weekends and alternative schedules.
• United States citizen or permanent resident; no sponsorship for work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional, customer-oriented relationships with team members, customers, service providers, and occupants.
• Coordinate logistics with facility partners and asset management.
• Walk down and inspect systems to determine impacts to end users.
• Submit site-wide communications via SharePoint.
• Coordinate corrective actions with vendors until resolution.
• Update equipment history in CMMS and manage inventory records.
