Job summary

Seattle Colleges in Seattle, WA is seeking a Utility Worker - Parking and Facilities Support to assist with maintenance, parking operations, and campus services. The role is full-time, day shift with possible evenings and overtime, and requires on-site work.

Under supervision, you will support HVAC/plumbing/electrical systems, oversee parking garage cleanliness, manage parking transactions, and assist with moves and custodial tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Experience entering timesheets and parking transactions.
• Experience handling POS/cash transactions.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled maintenance on buildings, fixtures, and grounds.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems maintenance.
• Load/unload trucks and move furniture and equipment.
• Support campus moves and relocation of office furniture.
• Maintain campus recycling and oversee parking garage cleanliness.
• Issue parking permits and violations and process payments.
• Greet visitors and direct them to parking areas and offices.
• Participate in safety trainings and follow OSHA/WISHA/L&I rules.
• Work on-site 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and overtime.
